Our SCO Workshop was a hit!

Last updated: Aug 22nd, 2019

We don’t just offer high quality school ski trips (although it’s a lot of what we do). Did you know we also help teachers get the ski qualifications they need to take students on a ski trip?

Earlier this month on the 7th and 14th November, we held the Snowsport Course Organiser’s (SCO) workshop at Rayburn HQ in Derby, arming party leaders with the skills and confidence to organise their forthcoming trips.

The SCO is a minimum requirement of most local authorities for teachers who want to lead a ski trip in the UK or abroad. Over 20 people attended the workshop over the course of the two Saturdays, and it was great to meet so many enthusiastic party leaders and put faces to the names of our clients!
After gathering some feedback from the event, we were delighted with the response…

• ‘How would you rate your overall experience at the Rayburn Tours SCO course?’
We scored an impressive average of 4.6 out of 5.

• ‘Did you find the course tutor informative and helpful?’
It was a unanimous ‘yes’!

• ‘Would you recommend our SCO workshop to other party leaders?’
Triple figures – 100% said they would!

• ‘How relevant was the SCO course content?’
We scored a mighty 4.8 out of 5.

What did some of our attendees have to say about the course?

‘The course was fantastic, the best course I have ever been on. It was so informative, I wrote so many notes. I really feel equipped now to run the best possible ski trip and cannot wait to go.
‘It was a good atmosphere in the group and people were able to talk openly about their past experiences, which really helped me as a first time ski trip leader.’

‘It was also excellent to hear from people who have been to the resort before. The instructor was very knowledgeable and led the day so well.’

‘Really useful refresher – I have done this course before but a very long time ago. It allowed me to re-think some of the procedures I have in place.’

‘It was useful to not only gain information, but to share practice with more experienced teachers and leaders.’

It was great to receive such glowing feedback and we hope all attendees enjoyed the day. To find out more about our in-house SCO course, just click here
