School Geography Trips to the Isle of Arran
Participate In Fieldwork Amongst Natural Wonders
School geography trips to the Isle of Arran take students into a landscape shaped by dramatic geology, diverse habitats and a unique blend of culture and environment. As part of a UNESCO Global Geopark, the island offers an inspiring outdoor classroom where physical and human processes can be explored first-hand.
Working with the not-for-profit Lochranza Centre CIC on the island’s north coast, groups benefit from flexible, high-quality fieldwork tailored to their curriculum needs. Covering topics from rivers and coastal processes to settlement evolution and tourism impacts, students develop essential enquiry skills. The programme also provides opportunities to build fieldwork techniques or undertake independent investigations for the NEA or Fieldwork Enquiry.
With options to combine topics and include outdoor activities, geography trips to the Isle of Arran offer a truly immersive learning experience.
