External Rayburn Ski Rep, Tessa Maresca, has just returned from a week in Italy, having accompanied one of our groups on their ski trip to Prato Nevoso. Here’s her lowdown of the week…
For me, there is nothing better than incredible food, incredible sights, and that incredible feeling of the sun on your face! If you share the same joys in life as I, then Prato Nevoso should absolutely be the next place to tick off your list.
Prato Nevoso is a small resort, with family run businesses, a tight knit community, and a great taste for food. At the Hotel Mondole they deliver hearty dishes all day long! Nothing is better than coming back after a beautiful morning ski to a big delicious bowl of pasta. And let’s not forget the renowned Mondole hot chocolate… after one of these heavenly drinks, you will be re-energised to go back and enjoy the slopes.
If you like the idea of having the piste right next to your accommodation, so you can go straight from the boot room to skiing down that slope, then the Hotel Mondole is the place for you!
The ski school at Prato offers first-rate ski instructors that enable individuals to improve their skiing; whether that is learning how to do a slalom ski race, or simply just knowing how to stop! They are great at organising fun activities, ensuring everybody is always safe, and giving great ski advice – plus, the majority of instructors have brilliant English!
Not only does Prato offer skiing, it also offers plenty more activities!
It is a great feeling getting out of those ski boots, and into your dancing shoes… Snow fever at Prato Nevoso enables all of these aspirations to come true! This pizzeria and disco, with its own traditional pizza oven, and personal DJ is a great night for everybody, to have great food, have a dance, and relax.
However, my personal favourite has got to be the snow tubing. Ever fancied whizzing around the snow in an inner tube? It is great fun, that will certainly create lots of laughter, and fantastic memories to take back home with you!
