Majorelle Gardens

Majorelle Gardens

Set in the heart of Marrakech, this enchanting garden is one of the most visited sites in Morocco.

It took French painter Jacques Majorelle forty years to create this tranquil haven of shady lanes, exotic plants and serene streams and pools filled with water lilies and lotus flowers.

Stroll down the paths to the delicate sound of trickling water and the cheerful chirping of various birds and be greeted by the garden’s vibrant colours, dominated by its intense ‘Majorelle blue’. Its Berber Museum is just as impressive as the gardens, displaying a number of artefacts, including leather and metalwork, textiles, musical instruments and traditional dress, as well as an exquisite panorama of Berber jewels.
