Spain is famous for many things, such as delicious tapas, glorious weather, beautiful architecture and of course their language! With over 500 million Spanish speakers in over 20 countries, it is one of the most common spoken languages in the world. A school language trip is one of the best ways to increase your students’ knowledge and understanding of any language as they’ll be fully immersed in new cultures and participate in day-to-day interactions. Your students will have constant exposure to real-life situations to test their Spanish language skills across the vast Spanish landscape.

 

Barcelona

One of the most popular and highly visited cities in Spain is Barcelona. With its iconic colourful architecture, marvellous Sagrada Familia and world-renowned football, Barcelona is a great place for students to perfect their Spanish and pronunciation. On their trip they will have the option to explore the quieter parts of the city and cook up some delicious Spanish cuisines in a cooking lesson. Not only this, students can also visit the bustling Boqueria Market. This will provide them with a great opportunity to test their conversation and purchasing skills in a welcoming environment amongst locals. Seville

Seville is a Spanish city full of grand monuments and historical sites, making it one of the most authentic cities to learn Spanish in. Students will be surrounded by Seville’s famous landmarks; the Real Alcazar, La Giralda Tower, Seville’s town hall and many more. Your trip will be filled with non-stop exploration of the city and constant learning about its history and language. As one of the oldest cities in the world and birthplace of Pablo Picasso, Malaga is well known for its art scene and variety of landscapes, including the beaches in Benalmadena and the white streets of Mijas’ mountains. The variety of art and architecture makes Valencia one of the most vibrant cities in Spain, giving students an unforgettable backdrop to develop their Spanish language skills. Valencia also offers great places to eat such as the Central Market, as well as there being many art murals for students to take pictures against and send back home.

Granada

Soak up the rich and classic Spanish history with a trip to Granada. Here your students see the medieval and Moorish past trapped in time with the Alhambra fortress and multiple historic sites throughout the city.  Your students will get plenty of opportunities to communicate in Spanish, whilst they have the option to take part in flamenco dancing lessons and visit the Nerja Caves & Museum.

Take a trip to the Spanish north coast and visit Cantabria! Cantabria is full of prehistoric caves, stunning nature and rural villages. This trip is ideal for the students who like to venture outside of the typical cityscapes and into something more stripped back.
