Your bespoke itinerary will include the appropriate balance of educational visits and leisure excursions to fill your chosen duration and meet your aims and objectives.

Your dedicated Tour Co-ordinator will offer advice and recommendations with the sole aim of creating the perfect itinerary for your group. But just to get you inspired, we’ve outlined the itineraries created for some of our clients below.

Day 1

After flying in to Reykjavík-Keflavík Airport, arriving mid-afternoon, your Icelandic adventure begins! From the airport, you'll board the coach and journey onwards to the Bridge Between the Continents, where you'll see the fascinating fissure between the Eurasian and North American plates. Alternatively, you can visit the Krýsuvik Mud Puddles and explore the colourful landscape of this geothermal area, filled with volcanic vents, boiling hot springs and bubbling mud puddles!

After a day on your feet, unwind with a dip in the irresistibly warm and sumptuously soothing waters of the Blue Lagoon. Trust us when we say you won't want to get out! Feeling refreshed, you'll head to a local pizzeria to fill up on cheesy, doughy goodness, before travelling to your accommodation to spend the rest of your evening relaxing and settling into your exciting new surroundings.

Day 2

The action continues as you begin your day with a guided tour of the Hellisheidi Power Plant, where you'll learn how it harnesses the geothermal energy of the steam reservoirs that sit beneath the landscape. Next, it's on to Thingvellir National Park, home to some of Iceland's most spectacular landscape and unique geographical features. This is nature at its very best.

Afterwards, all of your senses will be brought to life with a visit to the geyser geothermal area, where the main attraction of the erupting Strokkur Geysir never fails to impress, followed by a trip to Iceland's most famous waterfall, Gullfoss.

Day 3

Grab your ice axes and strap on your crampons, because today kicks off with a guided glacier trek! You'll venture across the Solheimajokull Glacier, learning about this truly awesome glacier's ice, its movement and its rate of retreat. Next, you'll visit the charming village of Vik, Iceland's southernmost village, followed by the nearby Reynisfjara black basalt beach. Here you can enjoy a relaxing stroll along the pebbly beach and see the impressive basalt columns in all their glory.

Next it's time for some more waterfall action, this time with Skogafoss. Admire its wide curtain of water cascading from a height of 62m, which often displays a beautiful rainbow due to the huge amount of spray (cameras at the ready!). Later, you'll head to the Eyjafjallajokull Visitors’ Centre to learn more about the 2010 eruption. Finally, the day ends with a visit to Seljalandsfoss, the only known waterfall of its kind where it’s possible to walk behind it!

Spend your final morning exploring the fascinating city of Reykjavik, squeezing in a visit to Perlan to admire 360 degree views from the water tower, a trip to Tjorn to enjoy the pretty city pond, and a visit to Hallgrimskirkja Church, a building that's truly spectacular in its architecture. Alas, it's then time to head to the airport for your flight back to the UK, reflecting on an unforgettable trip to the country known as the 'Land of Fire and Ice'.
